Blanche (Ficenec) Karas 1903-1965
Joe Karas 1894-1966

Blanche was the fifth child of Frank & Mary Ficenec.  She was born in Weston, a small farm-town in Saunders County, Nebraska where her mother was from.  She married Joe Karas (1894) on July 3, 1923 at St. Vincent's Church in Stirum, a small farm-town in Sargent County, North Dakota.  They had four children: Lucille (1924-1927), Joe (1928), Willard (1931), and Elaine (1934).  Blanche died in April of 1965 in Wydemere, North Dakota, and is buried in the Stirum Cemetery.  Joe died in 1966.

Joe was born in Stirum on December 13, 1928.  He married Isabel "Bel" Schatts in 1948.  They have five children.

Elaine was born in Stirum on February of 1934.  She married Ike Hill in 1954 in Stirum.
