Emil Mathias Ficenec 1898 Frank was the third child of Frank & Mary Ficenec. He was born in Weston, a small farm-town in Saunders County, Nebraska where his mother was from, on July 1, 1898. He moved to the Stirum community, a small farm-town in Sargent County, North Dakota, with his parents at the age of 11, and lived there with his two brothers and three sisters. The 1910 Census has the family farming near Vivian Township, in Sargent County, North Dakota. We have record of Emil when he registered for the draft in WWI as a single man working on his father's farm in Stirum. è WWI Draft Registration Card / WWI Draft Registration Report Emil died in 1920, and is buried in the Stirum Cemetery with his parents. |
