Frank Wenceslaus Ficenec 1895-1955 Frank was the oldest child of Frank & Mary Ficenec. He was born in Weston, a small farm-town in Saunders County, Nebraska where his mother was from, on June 2, 1895. He moved to the Stirum community, a small farm-town in Sargent County, North Dakota, with his parents at the age of 14, and lived there with his two brothers and three sisters. He married Anastasia Palensky from Crete, North Dakota on October 16, 1928 at St. Vincent's Church in Stirum. "Stazie" was the child of Jacob & Marie {called Mary} (Polacek) Palensky. She was born in Abie, in Butler County, Nebraska on March 13, 1903. Later her family moved to Crete, North Dakota. Frank & Stazie resided in Elliott, a town in Ransom County, North Dakota until 1933, when they moved to Sydna township near Milner, in Ransom County. They had seven children: two who were born in Elliott, and the other five who were born while the family lived on their farm near Milner. Information Source: Collaborator Submission: Helen (Ficenec) Beyer Frank died January 25, 1955 at St. Francis Hospital in Breckenridge, Minnesota, and was buried 4 days later in the cemetery of St. Arnold's church in Milnor. Stazie died June 11, 1974 in Breckenridge, Minnesota, and was buried 3 days later in the Calvary Cemetery in Milnor. (Minnesota Death Index, 1908-2002)
