John Jacob Ficenec 1896-1984 John was the second child of John & Katerina Ficenec. He was born in Omaha, Nebraska on May 1, 1896. We have record of John when he registered for the draft in WWI as a single man working for the Union Stock Yard Co. in Omaha, Nebraska. è WWI Draft Registration Card / WWI Draft Registration Report He married Frances Forman from Omaha in 1920. Frances was the child of Anton & Katerina (Drahozal) Forman. She was born in Omaha, Nebraska on December 12, 1898. They settled in the Omaha area and had seven children: one daughter, Margaret (born 1/31/1921) who died as a child (3/9/1929), and six more - three girls and two boys. Frances died November 26, 1987 in Bellevue, NE, and was buried 4 days later in Calvary Cemetery in Omaha.
