JOHN FICENEC John E. Ficenec, 80, of Omaha, Neb., formerly a long time Las Vegas resident, passed away Monday, Dec. 25, 2006. He was a U.S. Navy veteran of World War II and the Korean War, and was a retired Omaha fire fighter. Survived by wife, Germaine; son, John and wife, Tammie; his daughters, Christine and husband, Stuart Jaeger, Leslie and husband, Robert McManigel, Jacqueline and husband, Steven Osmera; nine grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; brothers, Edward and Raymond Ficenec; sisters, Barbara Wzorek, all of Omaha, and Clara Janousek of Bellevue, Neb.; and nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his sisters, Margaret and Catherine. Services were held in Omaha. Family requests memorials to Assumption Catholic Church, 5434 S. 22nd St., Omaha, NE 68107, or Methodist Hospice.
