Joseph L. Ficenec 1866-1947
Anna T. (?) Ficenec 1867-19??

Joe was the fourth child of Jan Ficenec, and the first born in the United States: timing-wise, mom probably came over pregnant...  According to the 1910 Census, he was born in Iowa, but family records show he was raised in Plasi, a small farm-town in Saunders County, Nebraska.

Joe married a woman named Anna (1867), also an immigrant from Bohemia living in Nebraska, in 1893.  Anna came to the US in 1881.  In the 1910 Census, we see that they are farming near Vivian Township, in Sargent County, North Dakota, right next to his brother Frank, and they have no children.  We've been told Joe was the baptism sponsor for his brother Frank's kids.

In the 1920 Census, Joe and Anna are running their own farm in Stocking Province, in Saunders County, Nebraska.

We're told that later Joe retired to Wahoo, Nebraska where he worked in a store.  He died at age 81 in 1947.
