Joe Ficenec 1851-19?? Joe emigrated to the United States in the mid 1800's with his parents from Bohemia (what is now the northern and western two-thirds of the Czech Republic). What we know so far of Joe is from the 1880 Census. We know that he was married at the time to a woman named Augusta, they had one infant child (3 months in June 1880), Arthur, and Augusta's 11-year-old sister, Leda Fargin, was living with them in Omaha, Nebraska. Joe was working as a clerk in a dry goods store at the time. Augusta likely emigrated to the United States in the mid 1800's with her parents. |
